Have you watched the news, or youtube lately, when the girl, she was a cheerleader, and when she took the Flu vaccination, this disease called ____ came up. It’s when she is jogging/walking backwards, she can talk and walk fine, but when she walks forward, she walks/talks funny. So…What’s this disease called? And, what is it a a genetic disease?

Desiree Jennings was originally diagnosed with dystonia, but the doctor who was able to recover her changed the diagnosis to "acute viral post immunization encephalopathy and secondary mecury toxicity." By the time she found Dr. Buttar, her condition had worsened and she was close to death. She was having multiple seizures and trouble breathing.

You can learn more on her doctor’s blog. http://www.drbuttar.com/blog/?tag=desiree-jennings She gave him permission to write about her case. It was not a genetic disease. The flu shot caused it.

It is called a conversion disorder, a psychiatric illness often manifested by symptoms that appear neurologic. It is actually quite common and contrary to historical belief, attacks men as well as women (the old term for it was "hysteria"). Neurologists see it all the time because the symptoms mimic things like seizures, weakness, numbness, blindness, or difficulty walking. Of course, a full evaluation is done to make sure there is not something physically causing the symptoms, before this diagnosis is made.

It is not a genetic disease, but usually a reaction to some kind of stress.
