I just got diagnosed with it, my employer is making next week’s schedule today… how long should I be asking off? I don’t want to go too far over the average because I need the money, but I do NOT want this to become a recurring disease.

About how long does it take to get better?

I have done some research and keep receiving conflicting information. Some people say that medical transcription is great and finding an at home job is not too difficult. Others say that without at least 2 years experience an at home job is impossible.
Also, what kind of money is possible working PT?

I am looking to take up medical transcription and I have found a course at my local technical community college that is "reliable". There have been a lot of online scams such as Transam Associates, etc. and I don’t want to put a lot of money in and get nothing out. Does anyone have advice for me to get my career started without spending a lot of money on equipment and software?

is there anyway you can get a job with someone without schooling on medical transcription? i’ve had some medical classes in college and know a lot of the medical terms. i just don’t have the money to go to school and be in debt. if anyone knows that would be great!

My dog was just diagnosed as having Addison’s disease. I know she will have to take pills or get shots for the rest of her life. I am just curious if anyone has the same problem with their dog, and what it ended up costing them a month. I have read some wildly different prices online. I need to know what to budget every month for the drugs. Thanks!
I was asking people who have had the same health issue with their dog or are directly familiar with the disorder to answer. It is useless to tell me that things are more expensive in New York than rural Idaho or that my vet can tell me. I am going to a new vet that I do not know well yet. I want answers from people that know what they are talking about please. I also have heard people were able to cut out the vet middleman and save some money on the pharmacy visits. Thank you for trying to help, but please don’t try if you don’t have a specific answer.

I recently enrolled in Penn Foster Career School to get a career diploma in medical transcription. Now I’m reading all of these conflicting things about how legitimate the program is. Will I be able to get a job with Penn Foster as my school? I need answers asap! I don’t want to waste my time OR my money. Has anyone actually GOTTEN a job in medical transcription after completing the courses from Penn Foster? HELP!!!

Well I’m going to school part time somewhere else but its a bs degree so it’s gonna be a while before I could earn it. I wanna make money before then so I was thinking I’d take this medical transcriptioning course cuz I did it for a summer a while back and liked it. I worked for family though so I don’t know if i got the whole experience or if there are other things I should worry about. They told me I did a good job coming from someone who rarely hands me compliments, but I was hoping I could hear from people who do this job. Are there things I should think about before getting into it or anything I’d do better to be warned about? Really I’m just nervous about paying the money to earn the degree. Also do you find that the work is worth the money you make?

My aunt went to the doctor because of a headache. After countless tests she was given Motrin and sent home. Why did her headache stump doctors? Why should one spend money to get tests done if one is going to be sent home with over the counter drugs?

Most of the sites i found seems to be fraud and they always ask for money, which has no guarantee later that the job is assigned or not or they pay back or not.

What exactly does a Medical Transcriptionist do? What is there pay? Do they make Good Money? Can they work from home with this job? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks
