My 16 year old friend is struggling with bulimia/anorexia. For the past month she hasnt been eating, and if she has she throws it up. I am the only one she has told and i have finally convinced her to see a doctor. She is worried about her mom finding out though from the doctor. Because she is underage, is the doctor required to tell her mom about her disorder or is her secret safe in the doctors hands?

Also, this maybe a dumb question, but is there medicine a doctor can give her? What will a doctor do for her?

Is there a way for Americans to research the financial ties between doctors, drug makers and medical device companies? How can patients find out if a doctor is being paid by a certain drug company or receiving perks like free meals and vacations accompanied by lectures? Any insider information from people who work in medicine would be greatly appreciated.

There are some alternative medicine supporters who deny the germ theory of disease or at least claim that it is not the primary source of most illnesses. What do these practitioners believe is the cause of disease instead? What evidence do they have to support this. Just out of curiosity, what were the common beliefs about the cause of diseases before the germ theory was discovered, and how are they related to the modern alternative beliefs?
I’m not questioning the germ theory of disease. I’m just curious how germ theory deniers explain the existence of disease without the germ theory.

i have a tonsillitis but it’s not that severe.. after 2 days were going to have a singing contest.. and after 3 days were going to sing on stage… i don’t want to be embarrassed.. what should i do to make the tonsillitis gone in that short time??… home remedies please?… or some medicine?..

Can i go to a normal doctor to get a prescription for depression medicine withoput going to a psychiatrist??

How can i treat allergic without taking any medicine because i am also allergic to any kind of medicine , is there anyway to cure allergic in a natral way like hot water or scrubbing salt , or anything that way ?

I’ve been looking at allergy medications and most of them say consult a doctor before use if you have thyroid disease. I left a message with my doctor, but what would be the side-effects of someone taking allergy medicine if they had thyroid disease?

Sometimes I get headaches at school, but how can I cure them quickly at school? I can’t take medicine by the way. I am male and 13 years old.
