There’s a woman where I work who can barely use her left arm. I assumed she was paralyzed, but today I saw her move her legs a little. What kind of disease do you think she has?
Her arms and legs look very thin.

A few years ago I had an episode where I was extremely anxious for about 2 weeks. During that time, I started to feel a pain/pressure in my left arm, similar to the feeling you have when your blood pressure is taken.

I have had this symptom off an on since then, but only very mildly. In the past few weeks, it has gotten a lot worse. I have been under a lot of stress lately. I am only 29 years old. Does this sound like stress, or could I potentially have a heart problem?

I like to know what is cause of the symptom. I had polio in my childhood and it resulted in paralysis of my left arm for over 3 months. It was acupuncture that saved my arm. But I wonder whether the numbness is related to that experience.

I’ve recently been diagnosed with lyme disease, and it’s been pretty brutal. I’ve been given antibiotics to handle the infection itself, but my insurance won’t cover medication to deal with the arthritis that’s developed as a symptom. It hurts too much to walk, sit up straight, move my left arm or even turn my neck. Does anyone here have suggestions for dealing with nasty joint pain like this? I’m only 18 and start school soon.
