Is this going to work, and how will they do it? Do they use a spray? Im not sure because she is spanish and doesnt speak good english, and I want these things out now! So what do you recommend I do when she uses this stuff? Do I have to leave for days or just hours?

Is the landlord responsible for getting rid of the infestation? We didn’t have this problem in our last apartment, it happen after we moved – I think the apartment whole building has got it.
How I can be responsible forit when they will spray for every other kind of bug – roaches, ants ect ect . . . .

Also how does one go about proving it was already here? It’s my word against their’s isn’t it?
Bill, that’s why I am on the computer at 3.27am and not in bed. Every time I feel the slightest itch I am out of my bed like a shot of lightening but at this rate I won’t be getting any sleep at all for weeks until I can get this place under control.

I wish I could just drop everything and run for the hills but alas I cannot.

Thanks for the sympathy, I needed it. And I will look into the renter’s rights down here and see what I can find. Thank you.
Zero – I did read through my lease and no where in it does it implicitly state who is repsonsible for pest control, it simply says they can enter your home to spray if you aren’t there to let them in.

I think they got them from the people in one of the other apartments. I told them to call the landlord so he can send in an exterminator, but they don’t want to call because they are afraid that the landlord will kick them out of the apartment because of the bugs. And also I’ve been getting these bed bugs when i was heading into my 5th month.
I moved in 6 months ago. We brought our beds, furniture etc. practically everything. Then suddenly on the 5 month of our lease, bed bugs started appearing on our beds and clothes.

The previous owners left about 2 weeks ago because the bed bugs gave them rashes. There is no furniture left, the apartment is now completely empty, save the fridge and stove. The landlord’s wife cleaned it out, repainted it, if that makes a difference. It’s been empty for about 2 weeks. The previous owner had professionals try to exterminate them, twice, and it didn’t make a difference. Do bed bugs leave if they have no food or humans to feed on? Will there be any bed bugs left, is it safe to move into that apartment? All answers greatly appreciated.
By the way there’s no carpet, it’s all wood flooring.
