Author: My mother is 55, and I think she’s going through menopause. At least, I hope that’s what it is, because I don’t know what else can cause these temper tantrums and hot flashes.
The problem is that she will not go to the doctor. She has a fear of doctors…it’s been years since she last went to the doctor.
Is there anything I can say or do to get her in to the doctor before my father divorces her and the kids stop visiting? The temper tantrums are really bad!

60 years old, have had hot flashes/night sweats hourly for the past 4 years. I keep waiting for it to end. Don’t want to go HRT route. Could it be something other than menopause? Doctor thinks not, but I’m thinking of getting a second opinion. Anyone have any experience with this?
I am 46 year old female with heart failure and take coreg and lisinipril. Lately I’ve noticed tremendous waves of hot flashes and excessive sweating and heat.
