I’ve heard of the term vector bourne diseases, and also infectious diseases. What is the specific name of a doctor who studies insect, tick, and spider bite diseases?

Basically she’s had horrible symptoms for the last year and a half, has been to over a dozen doctors, had all sorts of scans and tests done, and they don’t know whats wrong. Today I was reading in a magazine at the hair salon about natural remedies to heal "mystery illnesses" and it was an interview with some doctor who specializes in that, but I forgot what kind of doctor that is. Do you know? So I can tell my friend?

I know I have a problem with either my gallbladder of sphincter of oddi but all basic test have turned out normal so now I need to see a specialist. How can I find a good doctor who will be able to help me?

I am a long distance runner and want to find a primary care physician in Portland Oregon who is familiar with common injuries, and specific health care needs of runners. Also, my husband and I are thinking about having children and I need to find a doctor who is knowledgeable about pregnancy and exercise, preferably someone with personal experience with both running and motherhood.

Since I dont like to use syntetic medicine, I would like to find a doctor who is treating illness with natural remedies. I live in Saint louis, Missouri. Thanks

Do you know someone who has/had kidney disease? If so how long did they live? How many kidney transplants did they receive, 1? 2? 3?
Or are you a doctor who knows statistics. I would really like to know how long people usually live if they had kidney failure as a young child and had a transplant and now need another kidney transplant. How long can that person really expect to live?

My wife recently had a back spinal fusion surgery. Ever since the surgery she has had a viral infection, according to her personal doctor. She has fever, vomiting, dizziness, and this has been going on for 2 months and no end in sight. Her doctor says it just needs to be waited out. I think that is BS. There must be a doctor who specializes in infectious diseases. Can anyone give me some leads? We are in the Seattle area with some great hospitals, I know. My wife is allergic to penicillin and its various forms, BTW.

He did it before but now he won’t give me anymore! I have very painful periods and I need it bad. I’ve been to two doctors one just wanted to put me on birth control (which doesn’t work) and the other stopped giving me pain pills and gave me ones that didn’t work.

Should I go to a female doctor who would understand?
I won’t get "tolerance" because I only need the pain meds 2-3days out of a month.
I tried the anti inflammatory etodolic or etodolac (forgot sp?) and it didn’t do anything.

I developed a severe upward bend in my penis within 3 days of having a cystoscopy. The doctor who performed the cystoscopy literally shoved the scope past a constriction in my urethra, which was created by the ‘clamp’ put on my penis by the assistant and left on my penis for 15 minutes. By the way, it was excruciatingly painful when the doctor did shove the scope past the constriction and there was A LOT of blood. I now have peyronies disease. I had very little anatomical curvature to my penis prior to the cystoscopy. I have had several verapamil injections and the plaque has reduced, but the 45 degree upward bend has not changed. Since it is widely accepted that peyronies disease is caused by trauma to the penis, is it also known that a cystoscopy can actually cause peyronies disease through physical trauma to the penis?

I have tried every remedy over the years from raw potaotes, duct tape, Compound W, Wartner Freeze, and all of Dr. Scholl’s products; the last of which made it slightly bigger! I just tried Pristine Wart & Mole Vanish to great PAIN and bad results. A local foot doctor told me there was nothing new they could do, but I met a foot doctor who said he had success with chemotherapy injected in. Yikes!
