Is it like cancer, Lou Gehrig disease, or emphysema, which is determined by clinical tests? Or is it like depression, alcoholism, or disassociative disorders, in which the diagnosis is open to intrepretion?

He gets heartburn at least once a week, sometimes more often. I’m concerned because I’ve seen the effects of heartburn and acid reflux left untreated, as my uncle had this and ended up getting esophogus cancer. I would like my boyfriend to see a doctor to rule out any major medical issues, and get treatment. But he doesn’t want to see a doctor, how to I make him go?

I hate "googling" things, as it just makes me that much more hypochondriatic (if that’s a proper word…)

If the doctor sent off some of the esophagus off for a biopsy, I’m guessing he had good reasons for it?
I just want to know what all the possibilities are for this. Cancer? If so, what kind? Or could it be something benign and/or minor, like acid reflux?

Thanks for any and all answers!

I have had a very regular cycle throughout my life, I have never been on birth control. I have had two abortions; the last one happened two years ago. It’s been recently this year that I my period will be normal bleeding 5 – 6 days, and then the next time it will be a week or two weeks late and Ill spot and nothing happens, and then the next month normal again, and then the next time, it’s later still and spotting occurs again. I am not familiar with what symptoms I should be looking out for at my age, I am 24. I am just a little worried. Is this a symptom of anything bad like cancer etc>?

Do doctors really turn you away? Are there any groups that get you help? For instance if you get cancer or another disease? Im sure you dont get good care but do you get none at all? What has happened to all the people that had no insurance? What hope do you have?

I recently adopted 2 ferrets, and had had them for about a month and on of them died. From the beginning she was very, very skinny and had a strange yellow colored tail. A week before my ferret’s passed my friend’s ferret passed as well. I saw a picture of my friend’s ferret and he had the same odd yellow colored tail. Is there any correlation between a ferret having a discolored tail and maybe a disease like cancer?

A disease, not cancer or anything else.
And if possible one that you can take pills to help with the disease?
any help is greatly appreciated >.<
btw its not because i have it
I don’t need how to help it I need the name of the possible disease
thnx ^.^

If you have cancer of any kind, would extreme fatigue be a symptom of that? Or are you just severely fatigued once you begin treatment? I know chemo and radiation takes a major toll on the body and that of course causes fatigue, but could you feel that way before you even find out you have cancer?? Thanks in advance.

Outside of cancer. I’m crafting a story, and this specific hereditary disease can be dormant but can become aggressive at anytime. The character is around the age of ten.
