I’m 16 years old and 2 weeks ago my little sister of 5 years old got chixken pox… My older sister got it 2 days ago now and now today im noticing some symptoms (swollen glands, lower back ache, ancle aches)
So i want to know when the rash is going to start (in days) and does these symptoms mean i already have chicken pox?
If you’re 16, your’re really unlucky if you’re catching chickenpox for the first time. Most people catch it at your sister’s age. So your risk of getting it is low as you’re probably already immune to it, having had it before. Many people get chickenpox without the rash, so you may well have had it before even if you have no recollection of this.
Chickenpox can take up to 28 days to appear after infection. As you’re in the same family as the person who has the rash, there’s no way to be sure when (if at all) your rash would appear, because you may both have been infected at the same (or similar) time. But of course you know that if your rash has not appeared 28 days after your sister’s, you are probably not infected, and are in the clear.
